Capture and organize data in the best way for your customer and team. Ranging from quick video and data recording to mapping and modeling, we will find the right setup for your deliverables.
BORN FROM A SINGLE CUSTOMER'S REQUEST
Pipe Trekker’s origins trace back to an underwater robotics company, Deep Trekker, starting more than a decade ago. Focusing on making underwater tasks easier that can withstand tough environments, Deep Trekker robots gained popularity quickly. Soon customers were using them in pipes, and they needed a different tool. We don’t back down from a challenge, so we applied our knowledge from the underwater world to make the toughest and easiest to use pipe crawlers on the planet. Fast forward to today, we have thousands of vehicles in over 100 countries worldwide.

A missed defect or obstruction can quickly become a costly mistake for contractors and municipalities alike. To avoid these scenarios, it's important to arm teams with the equipment needed to complete thorough inspections that prevent issues from turning into emergencies. We are proud to provide the world’s most intuitive, portable, and durable pipe crawler - making it easier than ever before for the trenchless industry to complete inspections.
Pipe Trekker crawlers are very flexible systems. They allow you to record data in whichever format suits the deliverable for your customer. For quick, simple inspections, you can record the video and on-screen data. This includes the tether length count (for distance traveled), pan, tilt, incline, and more. Simply hit record on your included controller to download onto a SD card via the controller’s SD port. For more thorough pipe inspection reports, we integrate with the world's leading software providers, including WinCan. Add a laptop, tablet or control console to your operation and you're able to generate complete reports out of a fully portable system
The tether break strength is 1600 lbs (725 kg) while maintaining a 6.5mm diameter. This super strong tether benefits from a twisted pair copper design, which is malleable and far more reliable than fiber optic cables, as well as easier to re-terminate in the unlikely event of a break.
For most cases, after a comprehensive product delivery inspection, as well as pressure, drive, and submerged test, we pack each crawler into rugged cases for shipping via air freight. For single systems, there are no skids required as the cases are on wheels and weigh less than 100-150 lbs depending on configuration.
Options for 3D modeling technology such as laser, photogrammetry, and sonar, along with additional add-ons and enhancements are currently in the works. Be sure to give us your contact information to stay updated on latest developments. If you have a specific project in mind, we might have a new release that we can time with your project!
The A-200 is ideal for 8" (200mm) and larger pipes. In its smallest configuration, it can fit into lined or slightly deformed 8" (200mm) pipes. With the modular robotic elevating arm, the A-200 can raise its camera head up to the center of a 36" (900mm) diameter pipe. It can be used for even larger pipes, however the camera head will just be slightly below center.
If you have a requirement for pipes smaller than 8”(200mm), the DT320 Pipe Crawler operates in 6”+ pipes. We also have new projects in development that could be released in time for your upcoming projects. Please provide your contact information and we will keep you updated about these exciting new releases!
We also have our rugged tablet control option with Pipe Trekker’s own Control software that offers a suite of reporting features, allowing you to annotate your inspections on the fly from a still portable package. The reports are intuitive for operators to create and valuable for anyone else to analyse the condition of a large set of pipes using common PACP language.
Pipe Trekker builds crawlers for as small as 6” and for any diameter larger.
The A-150 pipe crawler is ideal for lined 6” (135mm) and larger pipes, with the elevating arm centering the camera in a 24” (600mm) diameter pipe.
